Overview

The Advances in Agricultural Biotechnology (AAB) is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access journal published by Inkwise Press.
AAB serves as a platform for scientific innovation, applied research, and technological breakthroughs that advance the fields of plant, animal, and environmental biotechnology in support of sustainable agriculture and global food security.

The journal focuses on the integration of biotechnology, genetics, molecular biology, and agricultural sciences to develop solutions that enhance crop productivity, improve resilience, and promote ecological sustainability.


Aims and Scope

The Advances in Agricultural Biotechnology (AAB) publishes original research, reviews, and applied studies across all domains of biotechnology applied to agriculture, including but not limited to:

  • Plant genomics and genetic engineering

  • Crop improvement and molecular breeding

  • Animal biotechnology and genetics

  • Agricultural microbiology and soil biotechnology

  • Bioproducts, biofertilizers, and biopesticides

  • Plant–microbe and plant–environment interactions

  • Climate-smart and sustainable biotechnological practices

  • Gene editing (CRISPR, TALENs) and synthetic biology in agriculture

Editorial and Peer Review Policy

  • All submissions undergo a double-blind peer review process by field experts.

  • Manuscripts are screened using iThenticate/Turnitin to ensure originality and integrity.

  • Editorial decisions are based on scientific merit, innovation, and adherence to ethical standards.

  • The journal follows the ethical publishing principles of COPE, ICMJE, and OASPA.


Open Access and Licensing

AAB operates under a gold open-access model, making all published content freely accessible without subscription barriers.
All articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY 4.0) license, allowing unrestricted use, distribution, and adaptation with appropriate credit to the original authors.


Indexing and Digital Preservation

To ensure permanent accessibility, global visibility, and scholarly recognition, AAB:

  • Assigns Crossref DOIs to all published articles.

  • Preserves content through LOCKSS, CLOCKSS, and the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN).

  • Complies with technical and ethical standards for indexing in Scopus, Web of Science (WoS), and DOAJ.
