Aim & Scope

The Journal of Next-Generation Research and Development (JNRD) is a multidisciplinary, peer-reviewed, open-access journal published by Inkwise Press. It publishes research and development work across science, engineering, medicine, technology and the social sciences, with an eye on results that can be taken forward into practice.

Because the journal is broad, we ask authors to write for an intelligent reader outside their own specialty and to be clear about what their work changes.

Scope

JNRD publishes original research articles, review articles, case studies and short communications in areas including, but not limited to:

  • Artificial intelligence, data science and automation
  • Biotechnology, life sciences and biomedical engineering
  • Sustainable energy and environmental innovation
  • Materials science and nanotechnology
  • Information and communication technologies
  • Space and aerospace research
  • Smart infrastructure and urban innovation
  • Robotics, mechatronics and applied physics
  • Management, innovation and future policy studies

Peer Review

Every submission goes through double-blind peer review by at least two independent reviewers with expertise in the subject. The usual time from submission to first editorial decision is 12–14 weeks. See the Peer Review Policy for details.

Originality

All manuscripts are screened for similarity with iThenticate before they go to reviewers, as set out in the Plagiarism Policy.

Open Access and Licensing

JNRD is fully open access. Authors keep the copyright in their work, which is published under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0).

Article Processing Charges

There is no Article Processing Charge. Journal of Next-Generation Research and Development charges authors nothing at any stage of submission, peer review or publication.
