Overview

The Neuroscience and Cognitive Sciences Journal (NCSJ) is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access journal published by Inkwise Press.
NCSJ provides a global platform for original, innovative, and interdisciplinary research in the fields of neuroscience, psychology, cognitive science, and neural computation, fostering a deeper understanding of the brain, behavior, and cognition.

The journal aims to connect biological, computational, and behavioral approaches to advance knowledge about the human mind and nervous system in both health and disease.

The Neuroscience and Cognitive Sciences Journal (NCSJ) publishes original research articles, reviews, short communications, and perspectives across a wide range of topics, including:

Editorial and Peer Review Policy

  • All submissions undergo double-blind peer review by qualified subject experts.

  • Manuscripts are screened using iThenticate/Turnitin to ensure originality and ethical integrity.

  • Editorial decisions are based on scientific rigor, innovation, and relevance to the journal’s aims and scope.

  • The journal follows best practices set by COPE, ICMJE, and OASPA for transparency and publication ethics.

Open Access and Licensing

NCSJ operates under a gold open-access model, ensuring that all published articles are freely accessible to the global research community.
All content is published under the Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY 4.0) license, allowing sharing, adaptation, and reuse with proper attribution to the authors.

Indexing and Digital Preservation

To ensure long-term access, discoverability, and scholarly integrity, NCSJ:

  • Assigns Crossref DOIs to all published articles.

  • Preserves digital content through LOCKSS, CLOCKSS, and the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN).
