Aim & Scope
Advances in Agricultural Biotechnology (AAB) is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal published by Inkwise Press. It publishes research that applies biotechnology, genetics and molecular biology to plants, animals and agricultural environments, with food security and sustainability in view.
We are keen on work that moves from the laboratory toward the field, and on studies that weigh the practical, regulatory and ethical sides of new technologies alongside the science.
Scope
AAB publishes original research articles, review articles, case studies and short communications in areas including, but not limited to:
- Plant genomics and genetic engineering
- Crop improvement and molecular breeding
- Animal biotechnology and genetics
- Agricultural microbiology and soil biotechnology
- Bioproducts, biofertilisers and biopesticides
- Plant–microbe and plant–environment interactions
- Bioinformatics and computational biotechnology
- Climate-smart and sustainable biotechnological practice
- Gene editing (CRISPR, TALENs) and synthetic biology in agriculture
- Biotechnology policy, ethics and regulation
Peer Review
Every submission goes through double-blind peer review by at least two independent reviewers with expertise in the subject. The usual time from submission to first editorial decision is 12–14 weeks. See the Peer Review Policy for details.
